The Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Community Engagement Committee Reception on Wednesday, October 19th.  Area business leaders and legislators were invited to attend the casual meet and greet reception.  See attached photo of County Executive Charlie Dooley and City of Maryland Heights Mayor Mike Moeller.
 
The Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce is committed to enhancing the general welfare and prosperity of businesses and residents in the area.  The Chamber has grown to be an integral part of the business community and provides numerous companies and individuals with the opportunity to expand and promote their businesses as well as better the region.
 
Currently, the Community Engagement Committee is a team currently comprised of Chamber Board Members as well as area business owners and leaders.  The intention is to help maintain the prosperous business community in  Maryland Heights.  The committee focuses on:
×     Identifying key issues businesses face in the Maryland Heights area.
×     Taking a pro-active look at the City’s agendas (City Council and Planning/Zoning and Development). 
×     Keeping a watchful eye on issues at a state and regional level. 
 
Tony Giordano, Chair of the Committee states, “By hosting events such as this reception, it creates camaraderie amongst the community leaders.  This event has no agenda, no specific issues are discussed, and it’s simply an opportunity to get to know everyone a little bit better."
