Presentation Topics and Length (with short description):

Trademarks – An Important Business Asset This topic can be done in a 30 minute to a 1 hour presentation.  It will cover why trademarks are important assets, how to protect them and how they are used in business.  Presentation allows for questions during talk.

Copyrights – Another Business Asset  Every advertisement, catalog etc are protected by Copyright.  This presentation will explain how copyright fits into a business.  It can be done in a 30 minute to a 45 minute presentation.

Experience:  Thirty years practicing in the area of trademark and copyright law.  Have represented such businesses as Kemoll’s, Scottrade (since it started) and Mary Engelbreit.  Mainly represent small and medium businesses that only have one or two trademarks.  Prior to starting a private practice in 1983, was in-house trademark and copyright counsel for Ralston Purina.  I am one of the top trademark attorneys in the number of applications filed with the United States Trademark Office.
